Understanding our location on our spiritual journey is vital to our evolution as human beings. If we overestimate where we are, we won't to the work that actually has to be done and if we underestimate where we are, we continue to do the same old-same old that doesn't move us further along our evolutionary path. This is a big part of my work with individuals - locating them on the known maps and then helping them take the next step on their journey.
